A strikingly handsome beast, Asper is about as cleanly bred as they come. His coat is a dark mahogany brown, perhaps a tad uneven in color but handsome nonetheless. In fact, there's very little on this stag that isn't some earthy shade of brown. Standing fifteen point three hands high, he's not the tallest nor is he the shortest horse around. His mane and tail are both a flowing inky black as well as both of his hind legs, colored with black stockings. By contrast, on his two front legs there are two socks that barely reach over his ankle. Add a shy little white star on his forehead between two big brown eyes and you've got a pretty good image of Asper. His neck and head are finely sculpted with alert ears and an intelligent if mischievous face. Obviously built to run and jump, this particular stag is made for short bursts of speed. His speed, best used in open areas, is short lived compared to some breeds but he doesn't mind. Asper's strong hind legs and slim body make him a master jumper with minimal effort. Powerful shoulders and a sturdy leg structure give him all the power he needs to flee would-be predators but, when the adrenaline wears off and his distance is measured, he tends not to go far. It doesn't bother him though. He's got enough to get away, that's all he needs.

A relaxed, go-with-the-flow sort of stallion, Asper is a stallion that can make friends anywhere. If he can find a common thread with someone, he can make them a lifelong friend with absolute ease. He's got an easy smile, a slow and unhurried manner and a glint in his eye that tells you he's all trouble. Asper loves making things interesting, which means he's quite the prankster. Older horses seldom take him seriously because, unless the situation is dire, there's not a serious bone in his body. He'll do anything to make someone laugh or brighten their day. Herd leaders consider him lazy unless it's down to the wire because he'll nap the afternoon away and then sleep soundly all night too. He won't be hurried unless he wants to be somewhere quickly or he just wants to run. If he's given an order, he may or may not obey and if he does, it'll be done in his own time. He's a playful soul that enjoys frolicking with foals and flirting with mares more than "acting like a mature stallion." Asper, however, is a full believer in acting how you feel, not how old you actually are. Knowing him, this means he'll be seventeen years old and still romping around like a colt. Sadly he's a stallion that looks for love in all the wrong places, determined to save the hurt and rescue a damsel in distress. If a mare is in an unsafe place or he feels she needs support, he'll give it, one thousand percent. The problem is this often leads him to broken hearts because they'll run off one day and all his good works are for not. He tries not to let it phase him too badly though, he knows the perfect girl is out there and someday he will find her. Until then, he'll continue his noontime naps, his foalish pranks and getting his heart broken until he finds her.
