Rakuen is an average-sized Red Wolf, but this still makes her smaller than her average Gray Wolf cousin. She only weighs about 61 lbs, not bad considering that her diet usually consists of rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional careless bird since she must hunt alone. Her eyes are a medium-brown color, ringed with a thin line of black around the iris. Her coat contains a mixture of numerous colors in different shades. Reds, browns, gray, and even streaks of black cane be seen. Her belly, inner legs, chest and chin are pure white in winter and a slight off-white shade in the summer months. Her top coat also seems to be more brilliant in the winter months, when more of the guard hairs grow in to protect her from the cold. During spring when the weather begins to heat up, some of the lighter shades seem to become darker in places as part of the winter coat is shed. She does not have any distinguishable markings on her body. The lack of scars is due to her young age and inexperience. She has yet to participate in a real fight with another wolf or a large carnivore.

Rakuen is full of curiosity and loves to explore far more than the average wolf. She could spend hours covering a new area of the forest that she has not seen before. She scours the new terrain for any unusual scents. Upon finding any smells that interest her, she will spend the rest of the day tracking the source of the smell. A successful or well-spent day for her means that she discovered an interesting odor and also knows from where it originates. She also likes to see things for herself before she accepts the truth to it. Rather than settle for an explanation provided by someone else, she will gladly track down the truth herself. She usually does not enjoy the company of other wolves during these explorations, because other wolves usually slow her down. However, she will sometimes tolerate the occasional follower.
Though she usually has little patience with other adult wolves, Rakuen loves pups. This is probably because she enjoys their curiosity about the world that is so new to them, and she often encourages their adventures while watching over them. She also enjoys sharing stories about her own little adventures and experiences, just as her brothers did long ago (see History). When Rakuen is not in the mood to explore, she is in a much better mood around other adult wolves. Her patience can only last for so long though, before she decides she needs to find an uninhabited area to settle in for a time. This will probably make the situation difficult as she tries to find her place in a new pack. She tends to avoid females who appear petty or pushy. Rakuen usually gravitates toward older males who seem to have a wisdom about them, perhaps leader figures, but not those that show a romantic interest in her. For males that attempt to gain her attention, she will either ignore them until they stop, or if they continue to pester her, she may flirt back for a time until she gets the outcome she expects (see History for further details).

->>History
She was born in a litter with four other females, and it was during her young days that she learned to explore on her own, for her sisters were often pests and slowed her down or alerted their parents to their trouble-making and she'd be forced back to the den because of them. When she was one year old and hunting with the pack, she found herself more in the company of the older male wolves and away from her petty sisters. These were her step brothers, pups from previous litters from her parents (the pack alphas) who'd grown up but stayed with the pack. She enjoyed their company and their wisdom. They'd often share stories with her from their own past experiences from before her birth.
Not long after she was full grown, her pack picked up a lone wandering male not much older than Rakuen. The pack lands were full of prey at the time, so the additional member served only to increase their hunting power. The male was well-liked by the other pack members, but Rakuen immediately took a liking to him. It soon turned into adoration, though She thought he liked her too, and he certainly led her on for a time. She thought they would become mates, because they were so close and would spend so much time together. Her heart was broken when she found that he also spent secret time with some of her sisters. Furious, Rakuen attacked him and left him with a scarred muzzle and ran from the pack. She now has ill thoughts on the subject of love. Trust is difficult for her when it involves males that seem attracted to her. If a male pesters her too much, she will sometimes flirt back with him enough to get his hopes up before leaving and breaking his heart. It's a cruel game and she plays it well.
She has spent much of her time since then wondering alone and living on small prey animals. Life is tough and she is now looking to join a pack, if only to make the hunting aspect of life easier on her. She has no intentions of looking for love, but perhaps if the right male comes along, he may persuade her to change her mind. But that will certainly be no easy task.
